We think the screens in your home can do more.
Inklyng turns iPads, Apple TVs and TVs into calm, always-on displays for weather, time, markets, photos and messages. Designed once, drawn perfectly for every screen.
Why we built it
Most of the screens we own sit dark or show something we never chose. The tablet in the drawer, the TV that is off all day, the spare monitor. At the same time, the things we actually glance at, like the weather outside, the time somewhere else, a note for the family, are scattered across apps that each want our attention.
Inklyng brings the useful parts together on a screen you can simply look at. You set it up once from your phone, then forget it. It sits on a shelf or a wall and stays quietly current.
What we won't compromise on
A display should earn its place on the wall. No notifications, no clutter, nothing that begs for attention.
Every picture is composed for that display's exact size, shape and colors: an Apple TV, iPad, Smart TV, or web browser.
No ads and no selling your information. Your messages, photos and places are used to draw your screens and nothing else.
No special hardware needed. Use the old iPad in the drawer (with our free iPad app from the Apple App Store), an Apple TV, a TV, or any web browser enabled device.
Who's behind it
Inklyng is built and run independently by Obtoos Ventures LLC, not by a venture-backed team chasing engagement numbers. That means no ads, no selling your data, and no pressure to add complexity nobody asked for. It also means questions and bug reports reach a real person, not a queue.
