Displays
Inklyng on Apple TV
The Inklyng app on an Apple TV turns your TV into a calm, always-on display. The app draws the screens itself, so they fill the whole TV and look sharp on a 4K set.
How it works
- On the Apple TV open the App Store, search for Inklyng and choose Get.
- Open the app. It shows a 6-digit code.
- On your phone or computer, log in to Inklyng, choose Add display, then Apple TV, and type the code. The code expires after 30 minutes; reopening the app shows a new one.
- Choose which screens the TV shows and how long each stays. The TV changes on its own.
Screens you can show
- Photo Frame. Your own photos, cropped for the display.
- Weather. A sky that matches the real conditions, with hourly and weekly forecasts and a radar loop.
- Earth view. A globe lit by the sun's true position and turned to your city.
- Stocks. Prices and a clean history chart, with a scrolling ticker.
- Text. Your own words in the font and colors you choose, sized to fill the screen.
- Message board. A split-flap board of tiles, with emoji, colors and schedules.
- Ai Based. Describe a picture and AI paints it for your screen.
Put as many as you like in a playlist and the display moves through them on its own.
Tips
- Works on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.
- The Apple TV is always landscape and full screen, so photos are cropped for landscape.
- Turn off the TV's sleep timer and screen saver if you want it on all day.
