How to show the weather and a radar loop on a TV, iPad or monitor

Add the Weather screen to a display's playlist, search for your city or ZIP code, choose your units and a radar radius. On large color screens it shows a sky that matches the real conditions, with hourly and weekly forecasts and a twelve-hour radar loop.

What you need

  • A display connected to Inklyng
  • A free Inklyng account

Steps

  1. Open the Weather screen. In Inklyng, choose a display and open its Weather screen. Settings are for that display only.
  2. Set the location. Search for a city or ZIP code. An Apple TV can use its own location instead.
  3. Choose units. Pick Fahrenheit and mph, or Celsius and km/h.
  4. Choose the radar radius. Pick how far the radar looks around your location: 25, 50, 100 or 200 miles. A dashed ring marks the edge.
  5. Add it to the playlist. Mix the weather with photos, the Earth, stocks and messages, or hold the weather screen all day.

Tips

  • On iPads, TVs and other large color screens the weather always shows the real sky: sun, clouds, rain or snow.
  • Radar covers the continental United States. Elsewhere the screen shows the sun's path instead.
  • On a screen that can animate, the radar plays as a loop of the last twelve hours.
