How to make a split-flap message board on any screen
Open the Message board screen in Inklyng, type your message, pick colors and emoji, and send it to a display. Every letter flips into place on a board of tiles, like the departure boards in old train stations and airports.
What you need
- A display connected to Inklyng: an iPad, Apple TV, TV or monitor
- A free Inklyng account
Steps
- Open the Message board. In your account, choose a display and open its Message board screen.
- Write your message. Type a note. Not sure how to say it? Ask for three rewordings and choose one.
- Choose colors and emoji. Add emoji and choose colors for the tiles.
- Save or schedule it. Save a message to send again, or schedule it for later. Messages in rotation can be put in order.
- Add it to the playlist. Mix the message board with weather, the Earth and photos in one playlist.
Tips
- Landscape and portrait keep their own messages, so each is laid out for the way the display is held.
